In short

Cosmatch does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel or any other third-party tracking tools. No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking. We only use cookies that are technically necessary for the app to work.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. It is used to remember information between page visits — for example, that you are signed in.

What cookies Cosmatch uses

Necessary

Supabase auth cookie

Keeps your signed-in session so you do not have to sign in again on every click.

Duration: 1 year · Domain: cosmatch.cz · Can be refused? No (otherwise you cannot sign in)

Cloudflare cf-clearance

Anti-bot protection — confirms that you are not an automated program.

Duration: 30 days · Domain: cosmatch.cz · Can be refused? No (otherwise you cannot get past the protection)

Functional

localStorage "cosmatch_user"

A cache of your profile for faster loading. Overwritten on every sign-in.

Duration: until sign-out · Domain: cosmatch.cz · Can be refused? Yes — sign out, then clear your browser data

localStorage "cosmatch_daily_swipes"

A counter of daily likes for the Free tier (limit 5/day). Used to enforce the contractual limit of the Free membership versus the paid Cosmatch+ and as an anti-abuse measure.

Remembers that you have already seen the magic moment welcome message (it is shown once).

What Cosmatch does NOT use

  • Google Analytics — tracking of user behaviour via Google.
  • Facebook Pixel — tracking for Facebook ads.
  • Hotjar / Microsoft Clarity — heatmaps and session replays.
  • Advertising cookies — no Doubleclick, Adsense, Criteo.
  • Cross-site tracking — Cosmatch does not know what you do elsewhere on the internet.

Payments and cookies

The Cosmatch+ subscription is purchased exclusively in the mobile app for iOS (Apple App Store) or Android (Google Play) — not on the cosmatch.cz website. These platforms have their own data storage mechanisms inside their apps, not in your browser. For details, see Apple cookies and Google cookies.

How to delete cookies

In your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Clear browsing data

Note: deleting the auth cookie signs you out of Cosmatch. Deleting the other cookies does not affect functionality.
