1. Introductory provisions

1.1 These terms of service (hereinafter the "Terms") govern the relationship between:

and the person who registers and uses Cosmatch (hereinafter the "User").

1.2 Cosmatch is an online dating service built on the principle of numerological birth-date compatibility.

1.3 The relations between the Operator and the User are governed by these Terms and by the laws of the Czech Republic, in particular by the Czech Civil Code (Act No. 89/2012 Coll.).

2. Conclusion of the contract

2.1 The contract for the provision of services is concluded at the moment the User successfully registers (creates a profile) and agrees to the Terms and the Privacy Policy.

2.2 Registration may only be completed by a person who:

• is over 18 years of age,
• has full legal capacity,
• provides true, complete and up-to-date information, including their real date of birth,
• has not previously been excluded from using Cosmatch for a breach of the Terms.

2.3 The date of birth entered during registration is unchangeable — it serves as the key for calculating numerological compatibility, and any later change would compromise the integrity of the system.

3. Plans and subscriptions

3.1 Cosmatch offers three plans:

3.2 Prices are stated inclusive of VAT. Payment is monthly and renews automatically.

3.3 The Cosmatch+ subscription is available exclusively in the Cosmatch mobile app for iOS and Android. The payment is processed and the invoice issued by Apple Distribution International Ltd. (Ireland) for iOS and by Google Commerce Limited (Ireland) for Android, respectively. Cosmatch has no access to the User's payment card details. For details see Subscriptions and payments.

3.4 Cosmatch may adjust prices with at least 30 days' notice. The User is informed of the change by e-mail. The User has the right to cancel the subscription before the change takes effect.

4. Withdrawal from the contract and refunds

4.1 A User who is a consumer has the right, under Section 1829 of the Czech Civil Code, to withdraw from the subscription contract within 14 days of its conclusion without giving any reason.

4.2 The Cosmatch+ subscription is purchased exclusively in the Apple App Store or Google Play. Refunds are handled directly by Apple or Google, respectively, according to their own rules — the procedure is described on the Withdrawal from the contract page. Cosmatch will help you communicate with Apple / Google if needed.

4.3 After the withdrawal period has expired, we assess any claims under the Complaints Procedure. If the app demonstrably did not work (technical outage), we will help with the refund request to Apple / Google.

4.4 The subscription can be cancelled at any time in the Apple ID settings (iOS) or the Google account settings (Android). The remaining days of the active period remain available to the User, and automatic renewal will no longer take place.

5. Rights and obligations of the User

6.1 The User undertakes to:

• use Cosmatch in accordance with these Terms and the laws of the Czech Republic,
• provide true information about themselves (name, age, date of birth, photos),
• respect other Users — no harassment, bullying, hatred, or sexually explicit content without consent,
• not use the app for commercial purposes (selling goods, prostitution, promoting products),
• not infringe the intellectual property rights of third parties (photos must be your own or licensed),
• protect their sign-in credentials (Google/Facebook account) against misuse.

6.2 The User has the right to: stop using Cosmatch at any time, delete their profile, request export/erasure of data, contact support, and lodge a complaint.

6. Prohibited conduct and sanctions

6.1 In the app it is prohibited, in particular, to:

• create fake profiles or profiles with other people's photos,
• enter a false date of birth,
• harass, threaten, or insult other Users,
• send sexually explicit content without the recipient's consent,
• carry out romance scams, fraud, or financial coercion,
• offer paid sexual services (prostitution),
• promote third parties (MLM, cryptocurrencies, harmful websites),
• include other persons in your voice message or photos without their permission (manifestations of a personal nature of third parties, Sections 84–90 of the Czech Civil Code),
• use music or other copyright-protected content in your voice recording,
• use automated tools (bots, scrapers),
• circumvent security measures (Turnstile, rate limiting).

6.2 A breach leads to the immediate blocking of the account with no entitlement to a refund of the subscription. In serious cases (romance scams, child pornography), Cosmatch will report the matter to law enforcement authorities.

6.3 Cosmatch publishes transparent monthly statistics on blocked accounts on the verification page.

7. Exclusion and limitation of liability

7.1 Cosmatch is a technology platform. Cosmatch does not guarantee that the User will find a partner, that a match will lead to a successful relationship, or the accuracy of information provided by other Users.

7.2 The Cosmatch algorithm uses a combination of the classical tradition of birth-date compatibility (including astrological patterns) and modern psychological approaches (Myers-Briggs typology, attachment theory, love languages) to estimate the structural resonance between two people. None of these tools is, on its own, scientifically validated as a reliable predictor of relationship outcomes. A Cosmatch match is an interpretive tool, not a prediction. No app can guarantee the success of a relationship — it depends on you and how you manage to build it.

7.3 Cosmatch is not liable for the conduct of Users in the real world after they meet through the app. We recommend that Users follow basic safety rules: hold the first date in a public place, inform people close to you, and do not send money to strangers.

7.4 Cosmatch strives for uninterrupted operation, but is not liable for outages caused by third parties (Cloudflare, Supabase, internet provider).

8. Termination of the contract

8.1 The User may terminate the contract at any time by deleting their profile in the app. The data is irreversibly erased within 30 days.

8.2 Cosmatch may terminate the contract in the event of a gross breach of the Terms (see Art. 7) without a notice period.

8.3 Cosmatch may discontinue the service as a whole with at least 90 days' notice. Users are informed by e-mail and have the option to export their data.

9. Dispute resolution

9.1 In the event of a dispute, the User may contact Cosmatch by e-mail at ahoj@cosmatch.cz. Cosmatch undertakes to attempt an out-of-court resolution.

9.2 The body competent for the out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes is the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce) (coi.cz).

9.3 If a dispute cannot be resolved out of court, jurisdiction lies with the general court determined by the place of residence of the User-consumer.

10. Final provisions

10.1 If any provision of the Terms becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is not affected.

10.2 Cosmatch may amend the Terms. The User is informed of any change by e-mail at least 30 days in advance. If the User does not agree with the changes, they may terminate the contract without penalty.
